Artist Peep Show

Artist Peep Show is an experimental theater project that puts one artist and one audience member together in a booth for one minute. Modeled after a traditional peep show, the voyeur is given the opportunity to watch the artist work on their craft in the confines of a screen covered booth. Audience members are asked to enter the structure alone and to refrain from speaking with the artist. They are allowed to observe the artist work from the ground level path that encircles the artist. The Artist Peep Show deconstructs the traditional theatrical contract and requires a silent intimacy between the patron and performer.

The Artist Peep Show premiered at the FAB Festival in New York City on Saturday, September 28, 2013 and included the following artists: Rachel Abraham, Flora Bare, Mette Loulou von Kohl, Jennifer Murray, Mary Notari, Andrew Rogers, Ray Schamp, Nick Simko, Whitney St. Ours.
